Podcast Ep.3 Artists' Mental Health and Social Media
The definition of ‘artist’ here is anyone who expresses themselves through any art forms, no matter whether financial profit is involved. Podcast Ep.6 Shogun (2024) Drama Review from a Japanese Female's Perspective
I’d like to do something new for this podcast: talking about a TV show that’s just finished a few weeks ago. That show is ‘Shogun’, an American series set in the 1600s in Japan, broadcast on FX. I’ll talk about this beautifully crafted historical drama, focusing on two points: the depiction of Japanese culture, and the show’s female characters. There won’t be any spoilers till the very end, and I will warn you when they’re coming, so you can skip that part if you like.
Ep.9 My Thoughts about the Process of Entering Art Universities in Japan
Today, I' d love to share my thoughts about the process of entering art universities in Japan. A little bit about my background- in 2011, I finished a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. I graduated from an art university called Tokyo Zokei University, one of the five best-known art universities in Tokyo. I know it’s a long time ago, but I think currently living in the US is giving me more opportunity to reflect on my educational background, because a) people ask me about it more, and b) there is a different culture around art here in the US.
